+ Baby Number One +

My newly adopted rat gave birth to a litter two days after I got her, and boy was it a surprise! I kinda had a hunch when I brought her home... but then when she started building a nest in her quarantine cage I was like "Oh snap.".

Now, I don't know if this was the first one born, but I'm calling him/her baby number one because it's the first one I've held. I didn't think they'd be so soft this early on!! I just want to gather up all twelve of them and cuddle them in my hands!

He/she is two days old! I can't wait for them to grow fur so I can see what colors they are. Momma is a mink berkshire with dumbo ears, but I don't know what the daddy looks like.
